The Port: It's happening

Events

Due to overwhelming success, Lighthouse Deckchair Cinema is returning for another season!

Lighthouse Deckchair Cinema is a free outdoor cinema, located at Black Diamond Square, Port Adelaide, in front of the iconic Lighthouse. The 2008 cinema programme begins on Friday 25th January, operating every Friday, Saturday (and some Sunday) nights through to the Easter weekend in March. That’s a total of 22 movies over 9 weeks - all for FREE!

To complete the cinema experience, Lighthouse Deckchair Cinema also provides the ever-popular “cinema candy bar”. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Port Adelaide you’ll be able to buy popcorn, fairy floss and drinks; with all proceeds donated to community activities and charities.

Movie screenings commence at sunset, but get in early as there are no reserved seats or seating areas. Bring along your deckchair, beanbag or picnic rug, set yourself up in front of the big screen and enjoy some free celluloid entertainment.

To ensure you don’t miss out on your favourite movie, pick up a free postcard cinema guide at any Avante Card stand or click below to download a cinema programme.
